Lee Butler's performance at Reminisce Festival 2025 was a masterclass in crowd engagement and musical nostalgia. As a six-time winner of the Liverpool Echo DJ of the Year award and a prominent figure on In Demand Radio, Butler's set was a highly anticipated highlight of the festival. Opening with a high-energy mix of classic house and rave anthems, Butler immediately connected with the audience, many of whom were long-time fans. His seamless transitions and expertly curated tracklist kept the crowd dancing from start to finish. The atmosphere was electric, with festival-goers singing along and celebrating the golden era of dance music.

Next up on the decks was DJ Micky Modelo, who took to the stage with infectious energy and a reputation that preceded him. Performing in one of the festival’s most electrifying arenas, Modelo instantly had the crowd moving, seamlessly blending classic old skool anthems with modern house beats. From the first track, the audience was swept up in a wave of nostalgia, dancing and singing along to every recognizable tune.

Modelo’s technical skill was on full display, with flawless transitions, expertly layered mixes, and well-timed drops that kept the energy soaring throughout his set. His setlist included both crowd favorites and hidden gems, catering to longtime fans while also introducing younger festival-goers to the golden era of dance music. With iconic acts such as the Vengaboys, Boyzlife and Cascada, the festival was ready to up its game even more than previous years. By adding an additional festival to their portfolio, festival organisers trialed Retrospective festival on the Friday, the day before the main event. Although this event was smaller when it came to stages, it still packed a punch and had festival goers warmed up for the next day. The atmosphere was electric on both days and everyone was in high spirits.

Next up, festival-goers were treated to a performance by the childhood heroes Boyzlife, featuring Keith Duffy and Brian McFadden, at the FezzyPop Arena. From the moment they stepped on stage, the duo commanded the crowd with infectious energy and undeniable charisma. Their set was a nostalgic journey through iconic hits, with every note instantly recognizable to fans who had grown up singing along in their bedrooms and at school discos.

Songs like “No Matter What” and “Flying Without Wings” had the audience belting out every lyric, while Boyzlife’s playful banter and stage presence added an extra layer of charm to the performance. The FezzyPop Arena, with its intimate yet lively atmosphere, was the perfect setting for reliving these classic pop anthems. Fans were not just watching a performance—they were actively part of it, clapping, singing, and dancing along as Keith and Brian effortlessly recreated the magic of their boy band heyday.

By the time Cascada played their final track, the arena was buzzing with exhilaration. The performance not only provided a perfect closing to the festival but also reminded everyone why these songs and this style of music continue to resonate so strongly. Cascada left the stage to thunderous applause, cementing their status as legends of the dance music scene and ensuring that Reminisce Festival 2025 ended on an unforgettable high note.

The production of Reminisce Festival never fails to amaze me but this year it out was out this world, I was left speechless.
